Incoming Direct IRA Transfer or Rollover Instructions

Direct Transfers are the ideal way to transfer retirement funds to FAIRWINDS because they are not reported on your taxes. There is no limit to the number of direct transfers you can do each year. 

How to move your IRA to FAIRWINDS:

1. Gather the following information:
   1. Type of IRA (Roth or Traditional) and account number at other institution 
   2. Other institution's address for IRA transfer requests
   3. Copy of recent statement showing IRA (not required)

3. Complete a FAIRWINDS Transfer Request form during your appointment or call FAIRWINDS at 800.443.6887

We will mail the transfer request form directly to your current institution. The other institution will either mail a check or send a wire to your FAIRWINDS IRA.

How to move your Employer Plan to FAIRWINDS:

1. Contact your employer or plan administrator to request a Direct Rollover form. 
2. Click here to open a FAIRWINDS IRA.
3. Complete the direct rollover form from your employer and include the following FAIRWINDS information
   1. IRA savings number
   2. FAIRWINDS Regular Mailing Address or FAIRWINDS IRA Wire Instructions
4. Return the completed form to your employer or plan administrator. The plan will either mail the check or send a wire directly to your FAIRWINDS IRA. 

Once we receive your check or wire, we will deposit it to your IRA.
