TitleTelephone "Vishing" Attack
Fraud TypeVishing (voice or VoIP phishing) is an electronic fraud tactic in which individuals are tricked into revealing critical financial or personal information to unauthorized entities. Vishing works like phishing but does not always occur over the Internet and is carried out using voice technology. A vishing attack can be conducted by voice email, VoIP (voice over IP), or landline.
DetailsTelephone calls are being circulated to members and non-members by this telephone number: 904-xxx-xxxx.

These calls claim to be a security department from your financial institution stating that your cards needs to be reactivated or your account will be closed. They are requesting the 16 digit card number, the access code, and the 3 digits on the back of the card.

FAIRWINDS will never ask members to provide confidential account information, such as debit or credit card numbers, PINs or Social Security numbers, expiration dates, or 3 digit on the back of your card via email or direct mail, or over the phone.
