With a Debit Card, you'll enjoy the following benefits:

Overdraft Protection Option - For your peace of mind, FAIRWINDS offers an overdraft Line of Credit* linked to your checking account. Advances will be transferred, in increments of $100.00, to your checking account. Funds may also be transferred from your savings accounts.

Lost or Stolen Cards - Call our toll-free security number to report your Debit Card lost or stolen, 24 hours a day at (800) 449-7728 or if out of the country call (410) 581-9994 collect. A replacement fee may apply for lost cards. You must cancel reoccurring charges that normally post to the lost/stolen card.
How to get one - Apply online or contact Member Services at (407) 277-5045 or toll-free at (800) 443-6887 to request your Debit Card.

When using your Debit Card with your PIN Code:
- You may use your Debit Card with a PIN number at retail locations and at ATM machines. There is no charge for using your Debit Card for purchases at retail locations.
- When using your card at an ATM machine not owned by FAIRWINDS, you may be charged by both the owner of the machine and by FAIRWINDS. You will be notified by a message on the screen of the ATM if you will be charged before processing your transaction. You have the option to cancel your transaction at that time.
Use your Debit Card everywhere that VISA® debit cards are accepted.
You may also use your Debit Card everywhere that VISA® debit cards are accepted. Simply present your card and sign. The funds are taken directly out of your checking account. When using your debit card like a VISA®, it may take a few days for the transaction to clear your account, just as if you were writing a check.
Your rights and responsibilities with a Debit Card:
- Never give your PIN to anyone
- Never write your PIN in a conspicuous place, where someone could see it.
- Report the loss or theft of your Debit Card right away by calling 1-800-449-7728. Members traveling internationally can call collect 410-581-9994.
- Sign the back of your card as soon as you receive it. If you do not receive your card within 2 weeks of ordering it, call to report it lost or stolen right away.
