Michael Barrett has been promoted to senior vice president of finance at FAIRWINDS Credit Union.
In his new role, he is responsible for the overall management of FAIRWINDS’ financial management, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and risk management.
Michael has more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry. He joined FAIRWINDS in 2007, holding several positions in retail banking before moving to accounting in 2014. He most recently served as vice president of financial operations and accounting.
Michael holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Central Florida in general business and accounting. He is currently working to complete his MBA program from the University of West Florida. In addition to his education, Michael holds the following accreditations: National Check Professional, Accredited ACH Professional, and Accredited Payments Risk Professional.
